Art Fair May 2015 - News & Gallery

Spring Bank Holiday weekend saw the first EDAS Art Fair and
what a successful event it was!
The Friday preview evening set off the two day event in style with accompanying music played by Easingwold's 'Blue Notes' jazz band. Those attending included the exhibiting artists and their guests as well as many of the Friends of EDAS, whose support is always very much appreciated.
We celebrated art from young and old alike. The exhibition of high quality art work drew much interest and many sales whilst Easingwold Primary School's display on the theme of 'The Fun at the Fair' was delightful in its variety and interpretation.
Excellent workshops and interesting demonstrations ran throughout the two days whilst art suppliers offered a huge range of affordable resources to purchase.

Light relief for those wishing to try their hand at some previously untested painting techniques was provided in the 'Have a Go' area.

Who could forget the terrific refreshments which were available for visitors in the buzzing café area, served by a tireless team of caterers, without whom all volunteers would have collapsed.
Live coverage of our event was broadcast far and wide when reporters from Radio York arrived to interview one of the organisers, Lynda Bullus.
We hope that visitors to the Fair will have enjoyed an exciting experience which will fuel their interest to participate again in Spring 2016, when we hope to build on this year's success by producing another vibrant Easingwold and District Art Fair.
