Easingwold Autumn Art Exhibition
                                                  Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th October 2015
10 am to 4 pm

Now in it's twelfth year (2015), Easingwold Autumn Art Exhibition welcomes both amateur and professional, young and old  to exhibit. Although the enterprise is non-profit making we aim to make a small donation to a local charity after each exhibition.  Recently this has been to 'Kurt's Club', a local mental health support group, to support their art and craft activities.

EDAS has produced another great weekend's exhibition of local artist's work this Autumn,  providing an extensive selection of artwork to both view and buy.  The high standard of work and exciting range of styles, mediums and approaches on display offered a rich visual palette for both visitors and exhibitors to enjoy.  The gallery below shows what a wide variety of work could be seen.

There was much admiration for the wonderful quality of work exhibited by local sixth form students.  John Darmody,  Director  of Art at  St Peter's School, York had the difficult task of adjudicating the inspiring art work from Northallerton College, Easingwold School and Boroughbridge High School.  After much deliberation, he chose 'Passage of Time' by Anna Riding from Northallerton College for the Gold Award.  'Digression' by Milli Sellars from Easingwold School was selected for the Silver Award, with other entries, including a self portrait by Megan Jarvis from Boroughbridge High School, being highly commended.

As mentioned on our Home Page, in a change from previous years visitors were able to meet an artist at work in a very informal setting.  Jane Jones and Alan Blackburn showed a range of watercolour techniques to interested visitors.  Some of their work can be seen in the Gallery below.

'Pop up' café

The Exhibition's popular 'pop up' café received plenty of hungry supporters.  In addition to the usual sumptuous cakes on offer, this year's menu included lunch snacks of soup and sandwiches.
